Some quick notes about our virtual workshops:
Workshop Hosting Security
If we are hosting your upcoming workshop, we typically utilize Zoom meeting or Zoom webinar functionality to host our virtual workshops. We take security of these events seriously. We will share login details with you that will include a passcode that attendees must enter in order to participate. We ask that you do not share this login information in a public setting, such as within a Facebook group or on your website, and instead email the details individually to those that will be attending.
Event Attendance
If you anticipate that the participation at your virtual event may be larger than our agreed upon attendance capacity, please let us know. We sometimes notice that attendees sign on twice - once using the provided link to access the video portion, and then also calling in to access the audio portion - which video conferencing software counts as two people. In order to avoid any day-of-workshop mishaps related to any software participation limits, we'll want to make sure that that's accounted for in advance.
Technology Requirements
In order to participate, attendees will need to have access to a computer or tablet to view the visual portion of the presentation as well as a speaker or phone to access to the audio portion. As the presenter, we will always sign on with our camera turned on and welcome everyone to do the same (we love seeing your faces!), but attendees do not have to if they would prefer not to or are unable to. If you anticipate that many attendees may not have access to a camera and microphone, let us know in advance so that we can avoid the features that require them to be successful (like group discussion) and can focus on other interaction that most will be able to use without them (like chat).
Attendee Accommodations
We also know that some of your attendees may have attention, sensory, or other related needs or preferences. Although we're pros at leading virtual experiences, we are always happy to discuss any ways that we can be more accommodating with specific attendee communication or learning needs so that everyone feels welcome and is fully able to participate.
Reaching Out
If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know in advance so that we can make the appropriate arrangements and make sure that everything runs smoothly on the day of your workshop.
Thanks!
